How to enable zoom-button + scroll function with my mouse?

0

My logitech performance MX mouse has a dedicated zoom button, that is not used by default in Ubuntu. (The button nr is 13 according to xev.) I want to set the mouse so that the zoom button acts like a pressed Control button and the mouse wheel (button 4 up and 5 down) then lets me zoom into stuff e.g. in chrome. Maybe someone with with skills in xbindkeys could help, please?

I tried this so far but it seems to do exactly the opposite:

"xte 'keydown Control_L' 'keydown Shift_L' 'key equal' 'keyup Shift_L' 'keyup Control_L'"
b:13

Right now I am guessing that it is just not possible to combine 2 mouse events with xbindkeys.
