Connot tether iPhone lightning port to Ubuntu Core 16 on Raspberry Pi 3's USB port for Internet connection

I'm trying to get my Raspberry Pi 3 running Ubuntu Core 16 tethered through it's USB port with an iPhone's Internet connection (LTE data connection) using it's Lightning port using the commonly available Lightning to USB cable.

I'm ok with this option too: But I have not found a cable that will tether the iPhone's Lightning port to the Ethernet RJ45 port on the Raspberry Pi 3!

Appreciate any/all pointers for any solution that will get my Ubuntu Core powered Raspberry Pi 3 connected to the Internet using LTE connection on a Smartphone.

Thx!

Robbie

  • Note: WiFi tethering between the iPhone (LTE) and the Raspberry Pi 3 works just fine, but I'm looking for a much more reliable wired tethering solution for my Raspberry Pi 3. Thx
