No bootdisk found: Hardware or software problem

0

I have configured a laptop with dual boot, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04. Normally grub will load and allow me to choose between windows or ubuntu

Recently it has been giving me problem when booting up, it always show no boot disk found. In the bios, I found no hdd/sdd around when this happen

The problem however can be "fixed" by tightening some screw round the HDD/SSD access patch. And voila, the laptop begin to boot with windows. I figured this to be some hardware problem and is doing backing up before i send in my laptop for repair

However I came across some articles saying that GRUB Loader might be causing the problem and repairing the Grub might help.

Is this true? Just want to avoid the hassle of sending for repair when i can do it myself

thanks

I'd open the HDD access patch, remove and reinstall the HDD, to re-seat it.
