How to install an application in a new wineprefix?

0

My default wineprefix is 64-bit, and I created a new 32-bit wineprefix using the following:

WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=path_to_wineprefix winecfg

This was suggested in the WineHQ wiki. But when I tried to install an application using

WINEPREFIX=path_to_wineprefix wine start /unix path_to_installer

I got the following error:

bash: path_to_wineprefix: Is a directory

Can anyone help me fix this?
