Google Play Music very buggy, intermittently stops or wont start songs (Ubuntu 18.10)

0

usually a song will not play at all, it will just appear to keep loading (spinning arrow next to track) and the play button will be greyed out after clicking play. If a track does play, often in the middle of a song it will hang and appear as previously described. On occasion one song will play through though usually it will not even start.

I can listen to music through YouTube or any other program fine. This happens through aux and usb dac out. Same results between play.google.com/music in Chrome, Chromium, Firefox and GPMDP. However, I do not have this problem when running Google Play Music in Kubuntu or Windows 10.
