After upgrading to 18.04, I cannot download flac folders

I get my concert music from torrent sites They come in as flac folders. I open them with qbittorrent or transmission. Now I get the constant message mkdir error, permission denied. What should I do?

Please edit and post the full error message. Also, what do you mean by "flac folders"? Folders with flac files in them? And please clarify exactly what you mean by "open them with qbittorrent or transmission" - downloading?

just call them flacs, ot flac floders as they are downloaded into a folder when it used to work
