An example would be in the story of Macbeth, where Macbeth is told his fate saying
"The power of man, for none of woman born / Shall harm Macbeth" (4.1.91–92) — leading one to infer that no human could possibly defeat Macbeth.Although Macbeth believes that he cannot be killed by any man born of a woman, he soon learns that Macduff was "from his mother's womb / Untimely ripped" (5.10.15–16) — meaning that Macduff was never actually "born".
so i'm looking for the word for fate becoming true in an unexpected way.
i'm not looking for irony. I heard this word when i was younger. i think ways it would be used is.The guy is the or Fate became.I'm not to sure how to use it but i will when i get it.
