Blank screen after loading recovery mode

0

I have Ubuntu installed alongside MacOS on a Macbook. I am trying to boot into Ubuntu in recovery mode. I managed to get to the GRUB menu and select recovery mode. It then does some bootup process stuff for quite a while, seems to be going fine, but eventually just hangs at a blank black screen. What to do now? Basically I'm fighting with this thing like it's 1990 (more or less constantly).
Thanks.

  • Have you made any changes to /etc/default/grub file?
