Move Ubuntu to New Drive, Give Windows Rest of Original

1

Currently I have a laptop with Windows 10 dual booted with Ubuntu 16.04. I'd like to add a second SSD, move Ubuntu to this SSD, and let Windows have all of the original SSD.

From what I can tell, I can just copy all of my Ubuntu system to the new drive using Clonezilla. Then I'd go on Windows, delete the partitions that Ubuntu previously had, and merge them back to the Windows partition.

Is this accurate? Any steps I'm missing or issues to look out for? Any risk of GRUB not coming up and letting me choose what OS if I have it on the new SSD? I've read a bunch of posts about this, but really don't want to take any chances.

Thanks!
