Snap packages overlap and uneeded? [on hold]

I'm not keen yet on the benefits of snap, and I may have some trouble here with my gnome-3-* snaps. I don't see how this can be right. Please help.

    Can you please edit your question clarify any issues that you experiencing? I can see that you have older and newer versions of snap apps installed, and over time the older ones will remove themselves from the system automatically. With all the snaps installed only the newest one installed is the active one that is running.

  • I'm not keen on snaps either, but I'm not sure what the problem that you are referring to is. Snaps keep (loaded) the three most recent versions, by default. This can be changed by sudo snap set system refresh.retain=3, using a number between 2 and 20....

I can see that you have older and newer versions of snap apps installed, and over time the older ones will remove themselves from the system automatically. With all the snaps installed only the newest one installed is the active one that is running.

I can see that you have older and newer versions of snap apps installed, and over time the older ones will remove themselves from the system automatically. With all the snaps installed only the newest one installed is the active one that is running.

I'm not keen on snaps either, but I'm not sure what the problem that you are referring to is. Snaps keep (loaded) the three most recent versions, by default. This can be changed by sudo snap set system refresh.retain=3, using a number between 2 and 20....
