I have a vcf file with 5 columns, column number two is with header POS. I want to copy column number 2 and paste it as third column in the same file with the header END. I also want to change the header of column 2 and name it as start. How can I do this on ubuntu shell or vi editor?

OK, so what have you tried? I'd use awk for this.
