Creating a hotkey for an alias
my problem: i want to bind a specific cksfv command to a key so that this command is applied for the current folder.
So i've created an alias for the cksfv command:
alias cksfv='cksfv -f *.sfv'
And now I want to bind this alias. I already searched this site and found this answer Can I use a Bash alias in a keyboard shortcut?
Unfortunately, the command
bash -i -c "myalias"
or in my case
bash -i -c "cksfv"
doesn't work. Is there something i've missed?
/edit: i've created the alias in the ~/.bashrc
18.04 bash xubuntu alias

Where did you create the alias? You might need the-l
option (login shell):bash -lic cksfv
-- read gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bash.html#Bash-Startup-Files

I created/added the alias in the ~/.bashrc
