How to get ir-keytable to recognize external Philips IR receiver
I have a Zotac ZBox which came with an MCE IR remote and has both internal and external IR receivers. I am running Ubuntu 18.04. ir-keytable
sees the internal receiver but not the external. However the system is seeing the external receiver. (Some) button clicks directed to it are recognized, such as the mute key and cause the related system action. So there must be a driver present for the external receiver.
Due to the "(Some) buttons" problem, I think I need to provide my own keymap to ir-keytable
so that all buttons will function for use with Kodi HTPC software. Note that "(Some) buttons" applies to both X11 - I know about the keycode > 255 problem there - and Wayland.
How can I get ir-keytable to recognize the external receiver so I can provide a mapping table?
