I am using ubuntu 16.10. I have firefox and chrome installed, but they crash frequently displaying "check your network connection" page. This happens more often when i am trying to visit YouTube, although other sites may sometimes open on a different tab. To recover from this, I reconnect to wi-fi and everything works normal until it crashes again and i got to reconnect to the wi-fi.
I have tried changing my proxy settings and updating my browser but nothing seems to work.

Hi! Welcome to askubuntu.com! Ubuntu 16.10 is not supported anymore. Have you consider upgrading/moving to LTS version? This could possibly solve your problem.
