2013 macbook air single boot Ubuntu - Mac firwire updates?
I am single booting newest version of Ubuntu on 2013 macbook air (after failed attempt at debian due to notorious wifi incapabilities). The system is running amazing, and I am not having any difficulties outside of what I assume to be poor battery life (4-5 hours as apposed to the apple advertised legendary 9 hours). I want to ensure that all my mac firmware is up to date, and I would prefer not to have to dual boot with mac OS. I am comfortable making a bootable USB (as I don't know how else someone would have been able to get into my condition otherwise), but I don't even know where to begin investigating my firmware status without native OS.
