Topic:Long and short-term responses to confront oil consumption, it was forecasted that it will exhaust in the next few decades with the speed of oil extraction like now.
It’s obvious that oil consumption is becoming a debate in around the world. One argument in support oil sources are motivation to boosting the economic growth and heavy industries. However, it has to be forecasted that with the oil consumption like now, oil reserves will be able to exhausted in the next few decades. This report will shed light on some short and long-term solutions to respond the oil consumption.
Having said that oil become major fossil fuel for all aspects in society. oil were consumed for transportation, industrial, residential, commercial, electric power. However. petroleum reserves are exploiting at unprecedented speeds which leads human to confront to out of resources.
First of all, there are various short-term solutions which the government, individual and companies can consider to respond. From my perspective, the government should raise oil taxes which could cut the needs of demand for people therefore it can encourage them to use public transports for movement instead of their private vehicles. Moreover, changing the policies to control the dependence on oil is the best solutions to limit oil extraction. For example, the government must have some restrictions on oil drilling and numerous environmental regulations and regulate the rise or fall of oil consumption to avoid prodigality. On the other hand, the citizens also are an important factor to decrease the consumption on oil, they should change their habits while using resources as well as driving cars when it is necessary for travel and jobs and buy less plastic products. For instance, they should advise their children to choose the bus or cycle to the school and use metal bottles instead of plastic bottles. In my opinion, companies should educate their staff, worker about the importance of oil in the future also industrial factories save oil when they are operating and replace the major power by renewable energy .
It is noticeable that there have long-term responses to produce the oil extraction rate and replace oil in the future, the administrate need to try new resources to replace oil such as solar, wind, wave energy especially in nuclear power that not depend on weather, environmentally friendly, great effort. In addition, the government need to an diversifications energy resources that on summing through the free market would be more flexible approach to stabilizing the energy for a long time. Beside that both citizens and corporations must have a tendency to use renewable energy and replace machines which consume too much power. Such as, companies can built the eco-building and apply recycling-water system in their office whereas people must use environmentally friendly products and use pubic transports as more as possible which actions can decrease lots of oil in the future.
In conclusion, oil is surely an important fossil fuel to develop the economic growth. However, what happens if oil reserves will be exhausted in the future therefore some long and short-term solutions will affect a part of consuming oil rate. It seems to me that order to do that we need to cooperate with many countries together to find new resources to replace oil whereas we are thinking about the future, oil still has been exploiting.
