I have added a second SSD 500GB on my Macbook pro. I want to partition this drive 350GB and 150GB. On the 350Gb part i want to install Ubuntu and on the remaining part i want to install Windows. What i have done until now was to create the partitions macos journaled for 350GB and NTFS for the other. I have a bootable ubuntu usb. How can I proceed? Keep in mind that i also want to keep my OSX drive. Any ideas?

You could try resources such as: Dual boot windows and ubuntu I have to warn you though if anything seems ambiguous/unclear DO NOT attempt it and have backup at all times.

@SuvenPandey one more question.. when using manual partitioning which option is best? /, /home and swap or just / and swap?
– Peter
Apr 6 at 12:29
Well, I prefer /, home, swap since I like to have data in separate partition and I have ubuntu/deepin dual-installed so they have shared data partition. It will also be easier to switch distro with separate home partition, just format / and all your data is still there.

@SuvenPandey so i 've managed to install ubuntu on the new SSD however i am now facing another issue.. When i startup my mac (holding option key) i can see MacOS partition and EFI Boot (which boots ubuntu). Also in the case that i dont hold the option key, my mac boots automatically in ubuntu. How can i configure it now to start automatically in macos and change the name of the EFI BOOT to Ubuntu?
