I made my USB boot disc with Ubuntu 18.04.1LTS, went through the installation process used all recommended by the official website and I can not connect to the internet as my only means to connect is through WiFi. My wireless network adapter Broadcom BCM3452 802.11ac is not supported, the driver that should replace it is the Broadcom Linux 802.11ac. On a separate machine I was able to download that specific driver and upload it onto Unbuntu but will not allow me to install it. I’ve beem at this for days, running hundreads of terminal commands. I’ve read forum after forum, blogs and I can’t get it it to install, Im nauseated from frustration. I’ve had similar problems with several other distros but I’ve always found how to fix. I’ve got Ubuntu 18.04.1 running perfect on 2 laptops and at work I’m running Ubuntu Server on VMware but on my custom build at home, ASUS motherboard, I’m stuck. If anyone can show me the light please in lighten me.

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu. In the same way you walked the driver to the machine without working nic, it would be best if you walked the output of commands you had tried to the machine you were wrote this on & attached it whilst asking for help. ie. when you tried to install it, it wouldn't "allow me" - meaning you got what messages? Route the output to a file, or if you want to see it too usetee
to output to file & view on screen..

Does it fail to install because of missing dependencies? Possibly helpful: askubuntu.com/questions/1069550/… Welcome to Ask Ubuntu.
