I'm setting up a PC at work that authentics through the NIS server. Currently I have interfaces set to

auto eth0

iface eth0 inet dhcp

As long as the user plugs into the eth0 interface on their PC it authentics and logs them in but if they connect to eth1 then it fails. How would I set the above to check which interface is active and set the correct port eth0 or eth1?
