My parents Bianca and Ivan are currently married and have always been before I was born. Before my parents were married, Bianca had a previous relationship with Henry and had a son named John, thus making John my half brother sharing the same mother. Ivan had a previous relationship with Alicia and had two sons named Frank and Ernest, thus making Frank and Ernest my half brothers sharing the same father. Ivan then met Katy and had a daughter named Pamela making Pamela my half sister sharing the same father. Henry, Alicia, and Katy are not blood nor are they legally related to me, although is there still a word for this relation? Are they still considered my stepparents? I’m curious.
