Playing Dota 2 on AMD R9 380 with Ubuntu

0

Since Valve introduced Vulkan support for DOTA 2 i've always wanted to try it out on Ubuntu. Thing is im using an AMD GPU (R9-380)
Sadly all my attempts at installing AMDGPU-pro drivers have resulted in me booting into a black screen (the screen literally turns off at boot with AMDGPU-Pro drivers)
I've spoken to a few people and they suggest i have to get MESA or ROCM... (which i don't have a fair knowledge of)
