Is it not appropriate to write "I see." in a business email?
Once a colleague told me that to write "I see." in a business email could sound a bit rude and is not appropriate. But I'm not sure if it's true since the colleague is not a native speaker of English.
But actually, I've never seen anyone writes "I see." in a business email, so far.
What else could I write if "I see." is not appropriate in a business email?

What kind of email? A business email? An email to your mom? What kind of language is used in the email? Formal, colloquial, mixed? What is the topic of the email? Why do you think using I see would be inappropriate in an email as opposed to any other communication? What would make I see inappropriate anywhere anytime except that someone told you it was?

The question is about business emails. No any other specifications.

The sentence "I see." is really only appropriate in a conversation, either face-to-face, on the phone, or via text messages back and forth. It doesn't really make sense in a regular business email of several paragraphs. (Can you give us an example of your anticipated usage -- with context?)
