LinuxCNC (Debian wheezy RTAI) on VirtualBox stuck on a red screen with a blinking cursor [on hold]

-1

Before flagging it as duplicate please consider that I have looked into the other solutions and the Intel virtualization is already enabled in the BIOS settings:

enter image description here

I installed LinuxCNC (Debian wheezy) on virtual box and now when I try to boot in this is what I see:

enter image description here

a red screen with a blinking cursor. What I have tried:

  • From here I tried CtrlAltF3 and was able to login into the CLI mode but when CtrlAltF7 it goes back to the red screen.

  • booting live from the .iso file works just fine!

I would appreciate if you could help me know what is the problem and how I can fix it.
