Wi-fi adapters compatible with linux/ubuntu? [on hold]
Just asking basic opinions: i have a desktop, i didn't get a wifi adapter for a long time just because i used tether. Now that i have better internet, i booted up linux, and frowned unsurprisingly as the wifi adapter is only compatible with windows...
can you think of any that work with both windows and linux that i can insert into a pci slot (not a pci-e slot)? Which ones are "the best", or most recommended?

There are many wireless devices which are not officially supported for Linux, but still can be made to work with it. Which one do you have?
