How do I tell which is the visible window if there are multiple similar windows

2

enter image description here

I opened two terminals, one is visible, the other is minimized.

I want to restore the minimized window, i.e. have the two windows visible.

I click the terminal icon, how do I tell which is the minimized window?

  • @pomsky I don't like the constraint "from the preview in Ubuntu dock". I just want to distinguish windows by whatever easy means.

  • Okay, then perhaps I misunderstood your question. Could you then explain where you want to distinguish windows? On desktop the minimised window is invisible, whereas the 'visible' window is, well, visible; quite a big difference!

As you can clearly see, the bottom right terminal window is the one in use. Just click on the left one and it will be displayed at the same size alongside the current one.

How can you clearly see that? Are you comparing the two images? I'm not good at comparing images, Are there any other ways?
