My laptops speaker only works with my headset plugged in
I had an issue with my mic, i just couldn't get it to work. I thinkered severally with Alsa mixer and pavucontrol and went as far as checking my BIOS all to no avail. I suddenly noticed that my speaker doesn't work anymore also, i tried using my earpiece and discovered that the speaker only works with my earpiece plugged in! Both the earpiece and the speaker works simultaneously when the earpiece is plugged in.
I am not sure what could have caused this but i have tried everything i could, Alsa mixer, pavucontrol but its still the same.
Any help would be so much appreciated. Thanks!
