Roboto font not working on Maperitive under Ubuntu server
Maperitive is a software for rendering OSM file to tiles in png format. I am trying to use this software under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS server. Running Maperitive under Ubuntu requires mono
to be installed with some additional package: mono-devel mono-complete mono-dbg referenceassemblies-pcl ca-certificates-mono mono-xsp4
. I am trying to render tiles with Roboto font which I installed with fonts-roboto
package. While rendering the Unicode characters are not being rendered properly. I am seeing box instead of characters.
Screenshot
In Windows the Unicode characters are rendering perfectly. Can anyone please help me sort this problem?
