Invalid output from pipe-menu "openbox-menu xfce-application menu
I work for a school board in Montreal and we were re-purposing all our old laptops and computers using a now defunct Linux distribution called Chromixium that was based on Ubuntu 14.04. We modified it to suit our needs and it fit in perfectly with our environment since we use Chromebooks as well and Chromixium essentially looked identical to a Chromebook.
We have recently tried to upgrade our "modified" distribution from 14.04LTS to 16.04LTS by doing a dist-upgrade and then sudo apt-do-release-upgrade. Everything seems to work great except when we try to access our menus by right clicking. When we try to do this we get the following error:
Invalid output from pipe-menu openbox-menu xfce-application menu
I was wondering if someone could walk me through trying to fix this. We have over a 1000 devices that need to be updated.
Thanks in advance.
