Using a quote with an unneeded footnote, no Works Cited to write (footnote(s) omitted)
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ margin-bottom:0;
}
I am writing a paper for a class, and the quote I've chosen to support something I'm arguing has a footnote at the end of it.
I am not allowed to write a Works Cited for this essay for me to write (footnote(s) omitted) so I am not sure what to do. Am I supposed to delete the footnote and not mention it?

I'd just add the quote without reference to the footnote but this isn't really a question about the English Language, it's more about academic standards (which vary).
