I recently added Ubuntu (Unity) to my samsung chromebook. When I type "sudo startunity" it opens my linex interface but once I am there I am unable to do a lot things.
My goal is to download Steam so I can play a few games, but the pre-installed web browser
1. doesn't display half of the steam website.
2. When I download the "install steam" file from their website and try to install it I get an error message that says "could not install all dependencies".
3. When I try to open software center via xterm (so I can download firefox) I get two error messages that say "could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open" and "Unable to acquire dpkg frontend lock".
I feel like nothing is working in my linux. HELP!

Why are you installing steam the hardest possible way? Why the 'server' tag?
