地理




在日內瓦湖中远望洛桑


洛桑最重要的地理的特徵是萊芒湖（法語：Lac Léman），与法国城市埃维昂隔湖相望。洛桑建立在瑞士高原南方的斜坡。洛桑在這個湖上方自豪地擁有一幅迴轉畫。


市中心是一條古老的河——芳河（Flon）的所在地，它從第19世紀起就已經消失了。這條以前的河形成一道峽谷經過老城中心南邊城市的中間，通常跟隨Rue Centrale，帶有幾座橋經過臨近的地區。「芳」這個名字也用于位于峽谷的地下鐵車站。


洛桑的邊界，東至廣闊的產酒區拉沃葡萄園梯田，西至la Côte。


洛桑都會區的人口大約25萬人（2005年）。



體育


洛桑也是國際奧委會等的體育總部所在地，因此也称为“奥林匹克首都”。
