What is the correct punctuation for multiple races ownership

Simply in the sentence "All the races money was combined" or a similar situation what should the correct punctuation be around the word race be? My feeling is it should be races' similar to James' or other nouns ending in s but I'm not certain that this is the case.
To clarify I'm using races similar to the Tolkien books series Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons to define between distinctly different types of humanoid creature.
