GalliumOS cannot mount sdcard [on hold]
I'm completely new to ubuntu, but I'm learning!
When I first installed the sd card, disks said it was mounted, but I couldn't transfer any files to it. In attempting to gain permission, I completely screwed it up. The current error reads as follows:
Error mounting system-managed device /dev/sda1: Command-line `mount "/mnt/usb-Generic_STORAGE_DEVICE_000000000208-0:0-part1"' exited with non-zero exit status 13: ntfs_mst_post_read_fixup_warn: magic: 0x00000000 size: 1024 usa_ofs: 0 usa_count: 65535: Invalid argument

Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.

I've been googling it, but haven't found the solution yet.
Does anyone have any advice?

what has based on to do with it? Xubuntu is supported (an official flavor), as is Lubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu-MATE, Ubuntu-Budgie etc. Ubuntu & official flavors (which are pretty easy to detect having Ubuntu in their name) are on-topic, others are not. (ubuntu.com/download/flavours)

@grumpygaijin The fact that Gallium is based on Xubuntu doesn't make a difference when it comes to system-level stuff, and the question asks about something that is system-level and not widely applicable. Now, if you read the error, there is a chance that it's actually a hardware issue, so probably there's a very good chance your sd card is a toast anyway
