How do I change permissions on my /usr folder [on hold]

I ran a command in my terminal sudo chmod -R 755 /usr on my kali linux and I messed up a lot of things, even my screen brightness doesn't work and I cannot install npm, I can only change my brightness if I log into root, please help me
