How to switch to Python 2.3
So i just installed the latest version of ubuntu and Python on my new laptop and i was wondering how to get the 2.3 version to work by default with IDLE?

You can install Python2 and Python3 (which was already installed by default depends on your version of Ubuntu)
sudo apt install python3 python2.7
Now you can run either python2
or python3
to execute either version. By default python
will use the version setup by the system and you likely don't want to change that, but you can by doing:
sudo update-alternatives python
It's usually better to put the version of python needed in your .py
shell scripts, like this:
#!/usr/bin/env python3
print("Hello python")
