Force full-screen video to play without any controls on login (Ubuntu 16.04, Gnome Flashback, Compiz)
I am making a custom version of Linux built on Ubuntu 16.04 (using Gnome flashback and Compiz), and part of it is that I want it to play a video fullscreen on startup. It's sort of like a full screen animated splash. Anyway, I want there to be no way to pause, scrub, etc. and preferably no (easy) way to close the process until it is done, upon which it will close itself. (Alt+F4/Control+C are fine, since they are pretty much inevitable.)
It would be an MP4 or MOV file, whichever is better. I'm hoping there's something as nice as ogg123
somewhere that I can just put into a .sh
script or something, and run on startup.
Thanks for any help!
