Install of Ubuntu to my Acer Spin 1 (SP111-32N) stuck on grub2
It's been 2 days I've been unable to install Ubuntu OS on my Acer Spin One (SP111-32N) : I want to install it alongside Windows (dualboot).
I've been using a USB flashdrive to install the OS.
At each try the installation blocked at the installation of grub2 bootloader. I've tried using both manual partition (with 2 partitions ext4 and swap) and "Install Ubuntu alongside Windows Boot Loader".
When I reboot the PC to exit the install and switch back to Windows, the partition with Ubuntu seems installed and there another FAT32 partition with grub 2.02 on it. However when I want to boot to Ubuntu some kind of terminal appear and I don't know how to boot to Ubuntu.
I've been doing some research and it seems that this problem is quite common, however each solution given by other user seems different and sometimes, as I'm a beginner in Linux OS, I havent been able to try them.

Have you updated UEFI from Acer. And then set "trust" on the Ubuntu/grub .efi boot files from within UEFI? Acer Spin 5 Ubuntu 17.04 Needs Acer password & trust askubuntu.com/questions/908854/… Details on password & trust setting: askubuntu.com/questions/597213/… & askubuntu.com/questions/627416/…

Bios have already been updated and password has already been set. How should set trust on the ubuntu boot files ? In the link you gave me it requires Ubuntu to be fully installed but my installation blocked so I'm not sure I can follow the steps on this link. Thanks !

Trust is set from UEFI, and it only looks for /EFI/ubuntu/ and then the .efi files. I do not have Acer. Another thread with details. ubuntuforums.org/… But if not fully installed, you may be able to use Boot-Repair to reinstall grub. Or may need repairs of FAT32 partition with chkdsk from Windows or dosfsck from Linux if you still cannot write into it.

Having reboot the computer after the installation blocked at grub2 installation, I've been doing a Boot-Repair using "Try Ubuntu". However the program is stuck at "Reinstall Grub. This may require several minutes".

Try running this on your FAT32/ESP partition, you should only have one with boot flag. askubuntu.com/questions/862724/grub2-failed-to-install/… Have you booted in UEFI boot mode? If not: Please copy & paste link to the Boot-info summary report ( do not post report), the auto fix sometimes can create more issues. help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair
