Notified of Results/Result?

0

Is there a standard in the common notification message:

"You will be notified of the result/results within 24 hours."

Even if there exists more than one piece of information, the collective document could be considered a "result", however, it could also be denoted as "results". Is there a standard or is it at the behest of the author?

  • It depends on the context. For instance, people wait for test results from medical tests, regardless of there being more than one result or not.
