I'm looking for a word which could describe any modified ingredient. By modified I mean anything such as cooking, whisking, baking, stirring...

Is there such a word? Or, at least, is there a more specific word than modified?

  • Like processed or prepared? Did you consult a thesaurus?

  • Yes! processed is already better than modified. Though, to me, prepared means it would be ready to serve while whisked eggs are not.

  • Things may also be prepared for further processing. :)

  • Can you form a sentence in which you would like to use this word?
