System stuck at Starting Hostname Service after installing Nvidia Drivers through ppa
I had a fresh installation of Ubuntu 18.10 with no graphics drivers installed by me. The installation used the default graphics drivers.
However, after adding the ppa repository using
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
then installing the drivers as
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-415
then rebooting, the system is now stuck at 'Starting Hostname Service'.
I tried booting by editing the grub config file at startup by adding
nouveau.modeset=0
And now it's stuck at 'Started Dispatcher daemon for systemd-network'
