usb run dosen't power off
Having recently bought an HP Pavilion laptop, I have chosen to run Ubuntu from a USB as I successfully used to.
Unfortunately, my old version wasn't booting at all so I decide to update to a newer version.
Unfortunately, none of the versions I have tried, power off my machine.
All cases freeze the moment I press the 'power off' button.
Up to now, I have used:
ubuntu-18.04.2-desktop-amd64
debian-9.8.0-amd64-netinst
lubuntu-18.10-desktop-amd64
ubuntu-18.10-desktop-amd64
also in differnt USB sticks.
Any hints, comments, suggestions???
ps: Is this error in USB run indicating for full installation??
