A phrase for 'the same holds in the opposite direction'

.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ margin-bottom:0;
}

I am looking for a phrase which eventually means "the same idea holds for the opposite direction"

For example:

A positive sign means that the values of a is bigger than the values of b, and a negative sign means that the values of b is bigger than the values of a.

So instead of writing the second part, the sentence starting with "a negative sign...", I am looking for a phrase to mean the same thing as the first part except in the other direction.
