Use of 'amount of' to adject a noun
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ margin-bottom:0;
}
I'm writing documentation for program source code, and I'm wondering if use of amount of in
transfer amount of 'value' tokens from A to B
is valid, where 'value' is numerical variable. (e.g. 'value' is 7, transfer 7 tokens from A to B)
I think amount of 'value' and tokens both are noun phrase so these are cannot be used together, but the sentence sounds legit to me somehow.

if it was a fixed value, you would just write: 'transfer 7 tokens'. It will be hard to make grammatically correct, but you could just write "transfer 'value' number of tokens"

I'm not absolutely clear on what you are trying to say, but would "transfer tokens to the required value" be the answer?

@WS2 'value' is function argument from caller hence technically 'required', so yes. But to avoid confusion, I think 'requested' would fit better. thx you enlighted me
