Touchpad and keyboard stop responding after a few seconds in the Ubuntu installation
I'm trying to install Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS on a Dell Inspiron 7567 laptop.
I created a bootable USB with Rufus following the instructions on the Ubuntu installation tutorial.
Seconds after selecting either Test Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu my touchpad and keyboard stop working. I still can move the pointer across the screen with the touchpad , but I cannot click anything, and the keyboard is completely unresponsive. I have no option but to turn of the laptop manually.
Do you have any idea of what is happening? Thanks.

Have you tried to connect an external keyboard/mouse and install the updates?
