How to start up xorg and autostart GUI apps in a Linux container installation of [X]Ubuntu?
I'm running Proxmox 5.3 and managed to install the Ubuntu 18.04 container just fine. I also did a tasksel install xubuntu-desktop which completed successfully. After this I installed x2go via: apt install x2goserver
I was able to use the x2go client software to connect correctly the Xubuntu (XFCE) GUI desktop - works great!
Unfortunately I need to start up a GUI application on system boot and so I need to be running xorg at system startup along with the accompanying GUI application after X starts.
How can I force xorg and a user session to start at system boot as a regular workstation or virtual machine guest would?
xubuntu xorg xfce gui autostart
