Linking postgresql and phppgadmin with Lampp installed

I want to install phpPgadmin for my Postgresql that I have installed on Ubuntu 18.04. I already have xampp installed on my machine.
Now the problem is, I followed the steps correctly and did everything I found on various help threads, videos and tutorials online. The only problem is, now that I installed postgresql and then phpPgadmin, it installed Apache2 again. And now my localhost was not showing my xampp's default directory.
I need xampp because I am doing php development and I also need to link Postgresql to php.
To help manage my databases in a better way, I also need phpPgadmin.
I have searched about it a lot online and haven't been able to find anything related to this problem of mine.
Any help would be appreciated!
