Pictures folder deleted then restored - how do I get screenshots to paste there?

0

I'm on Ubuntu 18, which doesn't appear to have the option to customize the screenshot directory, hence I got a bit more creative, making a link to the desired folder in my home directory. This has worked, but there's one of my laptops where the Pictures folder doesn't seem to have registered; it's saving in my home folder per "If you do not have a Pictures folder, the images will be saved in your home folder instead."

How can I fix this?
