fort77 isn't working
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ margin-bottom:0;
}
I let my system run an upgrade last night (yes I know I probably shouldn't have) and this morning all my Fortran programs compiled with fort77 won't work. I seem to be able to compile programs (output shows that the main and all subroutines compiled) but when I try to run them, nothing (no error message, literally nothing on the command line).
gfortran works but the problem is: ALL my programs were compiled with fort77 and I don't want to recompile everything. Plus, at least one of my programs has a problem with gfortran (hence why I use fort77).
Can anyone please help? I tried removing and reinstalling fort77 with apt-get
and it made no difference. I'm now running Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (64 bit).
upgrade 18.04 fortran

When I try to run the program and I get nothing, no error, no output, just a return to the prompt. I wrote a basic "hello" program and same thing.

fort77 works on my Ubuntu 18.04. Try running this example code and comment about the results. The linked code is formatted as markdown text which you can read in a markdown text editor or temporarily type in an Ask Ubuntu question or answer window to read it, but don't save the text.
