'Give impact on' is an awkward expression in usage?

As refer to "Profound impact on"
I've known well that people usually say "has had a profound impact on something", heard many time in conversation or any media.
But never been told about saying with "give" like, "This song gives a profound impact on my life" or "This song gives me a profound impact."
actually the latter is a familiar with me rather than the former one I guess.
So here's a question.
Why people don't say with "give" in those situation?

I don't think it's possible to give a reason other than that have an impact on is a standard phrase and give an impact on is not.

As far as I know rather than to "give an impact" active verb is "to make an impact"
