So what can I expect if I download Ubuntu 16.04 LTS again, that worked fine?
Has there been any improvements in the last two months in 18.04 so this problem do not reappear, wifi and ethernet-problems?
I had NO way of going out on internet with 18.04, BUT I could see the downloadspeed/connectionspeed in the setting menue!

That's an unusual problem, and does not come with enough information for anyone here to be able to diagnose it.
